Day 39 (Fowler, CO – Hawley, CO)

I was a little nervous going into today, not knowing how my shin was going to feel. The first run went pretty well. I could feel some tightness, but there was no pain.

As the day went on, I started to feel some pain as I ran, but nothing that wasn’t manageable. On my second to last run of the day it started to hurt enough that it threw off my stride a bit. I stopped and stretched it out for about five minutes and when I started back up, it was completely fine.

The rest of the day my shin didn’t bother me at all, so hopefully I won’t have to worry about it much longer.

I got 35 miles in today, which always feels like a nice accomplishment. I’m thinking that in a couple of weeks if I’m feeling good, I might bump my mileage up to 40 miles a day. If I just get a little bit of an earlier start to my day, I think it’s very doable.

  1. My prayers are that you will stay healthy and be safe. You should be so proud of yourself and how much you are doing to help others. Good luck

    • Hoping your shin keeps feeling well, I am sure you know what to do. We are so very proud of you and very proud to know you. God will continue to watch over you and keep you safe. Connie
